Year 8 Overview

Year 8 is a time for developing agency; that is the ability to take control of your learning and set some direction for future goals. Students explore the overarching theme ‘Living Beyond Ourselves’, which encourages students to develop an awareness of the world from the perspective of others and seek to champion the cause of justice, kindness and humility. The Year 8 building is located across the lake from the rest of the school, giving the students an opportunity to develop a strong sense of ownership and place, in and around the building. Throughout the year, there are a myriad of opportunities to enjoy the stunning natural environment of the Tindals Road campus through our Year 8 TWIG program, farm visits and regular student led opportunities that aim to build community and connection.
