This Sunday and next Wednesday we look forward to welcoming prospective families to tour SHNPS for 2026 enrolments. 

 

If you know of any families who will have a child starting in Prep 2026 please encourage them to call the office to book a tour. Our building works which are expected to start soon will be on display for families to see. 

Curriculum Day

Today we had Ryan Dunn speak to staff about how we continue to improve student outcomes and teacher practice. Ryan has considerable experience in education and has advised and collaborated with schools and districts across Australia, the USA and Canada. 

He has worked extensively with school leaders in Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, New South Wales and Alberta to support leadership development at a system, network and school level.

 

It was a great day and our staff took a lot out of the day for our students. 

 

NAPLAN

Congratulations to all of our Year 3 and 5 students who completed NAPLAN. They have done an amazing job and gave their best over the four tests. Thank you to the staff who ran NAPLAN and ensured the students were prepared each day.

School Council 

Congratulations to Belinda O'Halloran, Kristy Burney, Emma Ward, and Sarah Keighran who have been elected to School Council. 

 

Our AGM is on March 31st at 5 pm. All parents are welcome to attend this meeting where the Annual report is presented. All members of the community are welcome to attend. 

 

 School Saving Bonus

As shared with you previously, parents and carers of every child enrolled in a Victorian government school in 2025 will receive the one-off School Saving Bonus $400 support. Parents have received emails about this. 

Families can choose how they allocate and spend the School Saving Bonus funds using the online system. The School Saving Bonus can be used towards 2025 school costs, which may include:

  • camps, trips, excursions and incursions
  • swimming and sporting programs
  • outdoor education programs
  • graduations
  • school uniforms
  • textbooks (Please note stationery is not considered to be a textbook).
