Easter Cards for Nursing Home Residents

At the end of Term 1, our Pope Francis (Year 6) students will be visiting a local nursing home during lunch time, to spend some time with the nursing home’s residents and present them with an Easter Card. This valuable opportunity fosters compassion, bridges generations, and provides valuable learning experiences that enrich both the residents’ and students’ hearts and minds.

If your family / your child/ren would like to make a couple of Easter cards for the nursing home’s residents, could you kindly email me at elena.razzoli@syd.catholic.edu.au by Wednesday 19 March and I will email you the document with the details of the Easter cards, together with some Bible quotes that your child/ren might like to include in the cards. Thanks so much in advance to you and your children for your kindness and thoughtfulness.

Who is St Joseph?

St Joseph was the earthly father of Jesus and the husband of Mary. He wasn’t rich, famous, or powerful, but he was chosen for one of the most important roles in history: to raise and protect the Son of God. A humble carpenter, Joseph showed us how important faith, hard work and love are in our lives. St Joseph’s Feast Day is next week: 19th March.

Parent's Pilgrimage to St Mary's Cathedral

Join us for a spiritual journey of faith, art and renewal on Friday 4th April 2025. Experience a day of prayer, reflection, and community as we visit the historic St Mary’s Cathedral. This pilgrimage is a chance to deepen our faith, seek blessings, and enjoy a meaningful retreat in a sacred place.

Parents will go to St Mary’s Cathedral by train (or make their own way) in the morning after school drop off. The day will conclude at St Mary’s Cathedral at 2pm so parents will be back at school in time for pick-up.

There are only 6 tickets left for the parent's pilgrimage. Please email  elena.razzoli@syd.catholic.edu.au if you’re interested in participating in the pilgrimage to St Mary’s Cathedral or if you have any questions, thank you.

Please note, places for the Pilgrimage to St Mary's Cathedral are limited. There are only 6 spots left and places will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis.

Prayer Requests

If you have any prayer requests, you can email them at  elena.razzoli@syd.catholic.edu.au at any time and, if you’d like, we’ll include your prayer intentions in our next School Newsletter so that the whole St Martha’s community can pray for them.

Praying everyone is having a blessed and fruitful Lent.

May we always be aware that we are unconditionally loved by God and may we, by God’s grace, grow daily in our relationship with Him.

Please don’t hesitate to email me at any time if you have any questions or comments, or if you would like me to give you any specific resources about Lent, Plenary Indulgences or any upcoming Feast days. Also, please let me know if you have any questions about Mass or the faith and I look forward to meeting with you for coffee and answer any questions you might have.

God bless
