Students will complete NAPLAN in Week 8, finishing with Numeracy on Monday. Following this, there will be weekly catch-up sessions for students who missed any of the regular times. Individual students will be notified of any catch-up sessions they should attend. Please ensure students' laptops are charged and that they have wireless headphones.
In Week 8, Year 7 students will begin their new Geography unit, "Water in the World." This unit explores why water is one of Earth’s most important resources and how it shapes the environment and human life. Students will investigate issues like water scarcity, pollution, and drought and examine how Australia’s unique climate patterns affect water availability. They’ll also learn about the significance of the Great Artesian Basin to First Nations Australians and explore different strategies for managing water sustainably. By the end of the unit, students will have the geographical skills to analyse real-world water challenges and propose solutions to protect this vital resource.
For any concerns or queries, please get in touch with our Head of Humanities,
