Wellbeing

There are always links between our SEL sessions and Religious Education. As a Catholic School we are lucky to be able to draw upon Scritpure Lessons and Catholic Social Teachings to support us in educating our students around how to treat each other.
This fortnight we are particulary looking at the Catholic Social Teaching of 'Dignity of the Human Person' which links perfectly to our Be Statement, 'Be Kind' as well as our Relationships units in SEL.
While Catholic Social Teachings link directly to poverty the concept can be transferred to treating others equally and fairly. We all have the right to be respected, feel safe and listened to and our Be Kind statement and guideline is a direct reflection of this.
Doing a job to earn some money for the Carias Project Compassion directly links to being kind, thinking of others and ensure everyone's dignity is met. Please chat with your child about what job they can do to earn money to show kindness to our wider community.
