Last Friday GSSC hosted a Regional Mathematics Conference presented by the Mathematical Association of Victoria (MAV). Around 70 teachers from 30 different schools in the area attended. 

There were different options on the day, including CAS calculator skills, Meet the Assessors and SAC writing for VCE General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics facilitated by experienced exam markers. 

There was also an F to 10 stream which focussed on the new Victorian Curriculum 2.0 for Mathematics, Mathematical Modelling and the new VTLM 2.0. 

This was a really successful day and it was a fantastic opportunity to meet other teachers from the area. We also had lots of positive feedback after these teachers had a tour of our campus, both regarding our facilities and the learning environments in the classrooms.
