Gaming

Year level: 3 

In Term 1 Gaming, students will explore the fundamentals of gaming, including its purpose, mechanics and audience. They will explore and unpack video games to understand how they entertain and educate us.  They will create both ‘tabletop’ and video games for an audience based on a careful consideration of purpose, story and what makes a game fun.  They will learn important programming principles and vocabulary that is critical for creating quality online games using Code Studio and Tynker. They will explore the entire process from game design, development to completion. This Innovation incorporates computer science through creating computer programs, developing problem-solving skills, and investigations through fun challenges 

 

Year level: 6
