Students enjoy cooking on Thursdays at recess. This week we made some special cookies which we shared with our visitors from Homestyle Langford Grange
Please see below for this week's recipe.
Soft Chewy M&M Cookies
Ingredients
- 230g margarine or butter
- 2/3 cup brown sugar (120g)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup M&M milk chocolate candy (100g)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Beat butter, brown sugar, and vanilla until well combined, about 2 minutes.
- Add flour and sprinkle baking powder over the flour, beat till dough resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
- Mix in mini-M&M. Form into walnut-sized balls and flatten to form disks.
- Place baking paper on baking tray, space out cookie dough 4 centimetres apart.
- Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool cookies on a wire rack.

THE ORANGE DOOR | SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES
At Ramlegh Park Primary School, the safety and wellbeing of our students and families is very important to us.
The Orange Door is a free service that supports families with concerns around parenting, relationships, child wellbeing and family violence. Families do not need a referral and can contact The Orange Door directly for advice and support.
The Orange Door can help connect families with services such as counselling, parenting support, accommodation, financial assistance and legal help.
Families can visit their local Orange Door in person from Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm. No appointment is needed.
