A Very Warm Welcome to the 2024 School Year from Phoenix House!

I would like to welcome all new and returning students, staff, and families, to St John’s Regional College. It has been a wonderful and busy start to the 2024 academic year. Term one is filled with a huge variety of activities such as, the Year 7 Camp, the Opening College Assembly and Year 7 Welcome Mass, Year 12 Retreat, Student Leaders Dinner, SIS Sport, Valentine’s Day Fundraising Stall, and the House Aquatics Carnival.

Some student leaders within the school will have high profile roles, and others will lead quietly through their actions. Phoenix House is fortunate to have two outstanding student leaders as their House Captains. The 2024 Phoenix House Captains are, Cleyara Warnakulasooriya PH1 and Luke Obradovic PH2. We are looking forward to seeing these students develop their leadership qualities throughout 2024.

I would like to send the following message to all St John’s students. Be bold and take risks, and don’t let the fear of failure stop you. Failure is a part of life. It is just another way to learn. Make the most of all your experiences and learn from them.
