Senior School

Years 10 to 12

Year 10

The Year 10 cohort have successfully embarked on their journey for 2024. Jumping from junior into senior school is a big transition with lots of changes for students both personally and academically.

At Year 10, students are entering the world of work experience and putting down the groundwork for future careers. With students taking accelerated subjects alongside their core subjects, year 10 launches an important chapter in their academic career.

As role models to the junior years, Year 10 students are expected to set examples by following the school policies on uniforms and mobile phones. The Senior School team will be engaging with the focus week process and warmly encourage parents/guardians to support our work with this.

Year 10 is an important year for self identity and interests. The college encourages students to give their personal best in each subject and encourage refining organisational skills at school and at home. Just like a healthy diet, students also need to develop balanced habits with school, study, extra-curricular and their social lives. It is crucial that these habits are developed to ensure personal success ahead of a busy senior secondary life.

We are looking forward to sharing the year ahead with you all.

Year 11

Year 11’s in 2024 have got off to an exceptional start thus far. VCE-VM students have embarked on their first VET, TAFE, and working days, to much success. Meanwhile, our VCE students have also embarked on their own journeys too, many completing their first SACs. Within the Year level we also have a range of students who are accelerating their studies by completing Year 12 subjects, and all have displayed incredible progress thus far.

Looking ahead, in May, a number of our Year 11s are going to be participants in the annual Presentation Ball, and practice sessions with their dance instructors will be beginning in the coming weeks to prepare those students for the night. We greatly anticipate their enthusiastic participation and look forward to what it will result in on May 10th.

Finally we want to thank the Year 11s for their incredible adoption of Mentor as it returned in 2024, and for their ongoing engagement in the Connect program. We look forward to continuing to work collaboratively with students and their families throughout 2024 as we work to achieve our shared goals.

Year 12 Portsea Camp

Our wonderful Year 12 cohort for 2024 started the year with a bang down at beautiful Portsea, accompanied by various senior leaders and teachers.

The weather was glorious for a swim on the second day and students were admirable in their willingness to challenge themselves in various ways. Spirits were high and this made for a great start to what is a demanding and important final year of schooling.
