Cebula Boarding

Boarding News

It was a very warm welcome back to boarding for 87 Cebula boys, with temperatures over 40 degrees to contend with. They were all brilliant, taking everything in their stride beautifully. It was also great meeting parents and guardians at the Boarding Sundowner.  Thirty new boys from Year 7-11 have joined us and we hope their Mazenod experience will be a rewarding one. Due to the demolition of McDermott House over the holidays, we also settled 23 boys into Mercy House at St Brigid’s Boarding. Early reports indicate the boys and staff are very comfortable, with some hoping to extend their stay!

The boarding house building program is well underway with siteworks about to commence. We’re very excited and look forward to watching the progress of the project in the coming months.

Last Saturday we held our welcome day activity at Outback Splash. The boys had a fabulous time, and it was wonderful to see our older boarders take some of our newer boys under their wing. Boarding creates lifelong friendships and many of these are formed in the early weeks of a boarder’s journey.
