From the Principal's Desk
Welcome Back to the 2024 School Year
I would like to welcome everyone back to the 2024 school year. A special welcome to all of our wonderful Foundation students and any other students new to the school this year – please know that we are very happy to have you and your families join our Springvale Rise Primary School community.
As is often the case at this time of the year, we also have the opportunity to welcome some new staff to our school. Mrs. Sarah Orme (Assistant Principal), Miss. Ti Phan (MLC) and Miss. Finlay Hulse (ES – Wellbeing) have all joined us on the Heights Campus whilst Miss. Abby Lin (MLC) has joined us on the Springvale Campus. Mrs. Dhash Mahendran (MLC – Heights Campus) has also returned from extended family leave. Please make them all feel very welcome.
2024 Principal Team
It is also with great pleasure that I announce that I will be supported by three Assistant Principals in Semester 1 2024 - Miss. Carly Jamar, Mrs. Sarah Orme and Mrs. Mirela Karup.
Miss. Jamar will be assisting me in overseeing the organisation of the whole school for the first half of the year whilst being privileged some additional time to mentor our two other Assistant Principals.
Assistant Principal Mrs. Sarah Orme (who is new to our school) will be responsible for the Heights Campus this year. She will be supported by Ms. Michelle Gorman (Leading Teacher: F-2 Sub-School Team Leader) and Mrs. Suzanne Stubbings (Leading Teacher: 3-6 Sub-School Team Leader).
Mrs. Mirela Karup will be overseeing the Springvale Campus as Acting Assistant Principal for Semester 1. She will be supported by Mrs. Zoe Hahesy (Leading Teacher: F-2 Sub-School Team Leader), and Mrs. Sophie Angelogiannis (Learning Specialist).

Term 1 Special Events
Term 1 is going to be jam packed full of fun-filled activities for students and the rest of the Springvale Rise Primary School community. Our annual Foundation Family Fun Day is fast approaching and planning for our Harmony Day Parade is also in full swing. Please see the last page of this newsletter for other key dates for this term. Exciting times ahead!
