Clean Up Australia Day

Today our St Mary’s classes participated in Cleaning up St Mary’s in the lead up to Clean Up Australia Day this coming Sunday 3rd March. The Year 6 Environmental Leaders prepared the classes for the school clean up with a presentation and encouraged discussions amongst the students to make a difference to our community.

Please join us for Clean Up Australia Day this Sunday. ♻️

In partnership with our kerbside collections contractor, Cleanaway, join Bayside City Council at Green Point Brighton (End of South Road) on Clean Up Australia Day, Sunday 3 March at 9am-11am.

We will be cleaning up the beach, parkland and surrounding areas. Bring along a rubbish bag and a pair of gloves and join in the movement to clean up Australia.

Following the litter picking, Bayside Council will be conducting an audit of the litter and we will discuss Bayside's sustainability and waste initiatives to learn about what Council is doing to keep Bayside beautiful. At the event, the Cleanaway team will showcase one of the new waste trucks and educational materials, including reusable shopping bags, to promote litter prevention post-event.

Look for the big blue Bayside marquee and the big blue waste truck.

See you there.
