Education in Faith

The start of a year full of promise!

Welcome to the new school year! We know 2024 will give us plenty of opportunity to continue our faith journey. Students will continue to learn in the classroom about different religious concepts across the school year, as we continue to celebrate and pray at Mass. We look forward to celebrating both the sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation this year with groups of our students.

School Mass

As a reminder we are fortunate to celebrate school Mass each fortnight with Father Pat or Father Leenus. All parents and members of our community are most welcome to these Friday 9.15AM Masses which will be hosted by different classes throughout the year.

Lent

We approach the season of Lent, in preparation for the events of Holy Week including the sacred resurrection of the Lord. We will look to have Lenten celebrations as a whole school each week, so please keep an eye out for information regarding this. Students will learn about and reflect on this season as we approach Easter.

Social Justice

As we regularly love to do we will begin our year raising money for Caritas through their Project Compassion 2024 initiative.

Caritas do fantastic work in empowering people across the globe, and money donated can be tracked to help build schools, set up programs and provide invaluable resources. Students will learn about this in the classroom and how we can continue to donate what we can to those in need.

A Prayer to Open the School Year

Take care everyone,
