Welcome to 2024
Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome to the 2024 school year! It was wonderful to see the excited faces of students and parents returning to school during last week. As I've walked around the school and into the classrooms this week, it appears that everyone has settled in and the children are all on task with their work. It was most pleasing to see everyone happy to be here. Thank you to the staff that made the classrooms look inviting.
I would like to especially welcome all the new families starting their first year at St Anthony’s School. I hope you and your child has a successful time at our school and that you become part of this warm and welcoming community.
Congratulations to the Prep students who have settled into their classroom routines and expectations with ease and comfort. Thank you to Mrs Sarah O'Hara, Mrs Marie Georgiadis and Mrs Jo Kirkham, who ensured that they were all engaged and happy on their first days with us.

School Promotion
Our school is beginning to promote our school for enrolments for 2025. We are looking at distributing cards around the local neighbourhood, kindergarents and child care facilities. If you can lend a hand at passing the cards around please contact the office. The areas of Ormond, Glen Huntly, Carnegie and Caulfield South fall within our boundaries.
Masses - 9.15am and Assemblies - 9.00am are held each week on a fortnightly basis. Even though classes are designated to host these all parents are welcome to come along and attend the events.

Road Safety
As is always the case with the return to school, the roads, parking and school crossings surrounding our school are very busy.
Glen Eira Council has created a short, animated video that explains parking signs, how the school crossing operates and aims to promote safety surrounding our schools. It encourages students to walk or ride to school too, even if only from a few blocks away, to help ease traffic congestion, improve healthy activity and to help the environment.
