Principal's Report

‘You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book.’ – Dr Seuss

What a busy 2 weeks we have had at Monash! From scary scientists to busy book worms. So much fun with lots of happy inquisitive learners. A huge thank you to our amazing leading teachers who organised such a fun packed two weeks of science and reading!

Book Week

The best part of my job is when I get to spend time with the children, I have the pleasure of looking after. I have always felt so very passionate about the power of reading real books to children and the joy it can bring to both the reader and the listener. It gave me immense joy sitting and reading to groups of children this week to celebrate book week. The school has been a hive of activity based around the theme of ‘read, grow and inspire’. The week finished strong with our annual book week fancy dress!

Science Week

So much fun to be had with some mentos and coke!! Group experiments were just some of the wonderful, science activities taking place. Our huge mobile planetarium was a massive hit as the children got to stare at the stars and pretend they were far away!

Congratulations to all the winners of our science colouring competition, our design a book cover competition, our writing competition, and our fancy dress competition!

Capital Works Update

As you may have noticed some of our classrooms have gone! The old relocatables have disappeared and the builders are busy landscaping and putting in a new playground. Once this is complete the classrooms that are left will be renovated and we will be nearly finished.

Car Park Garden

Can I please ask that you do not allow your children to play in the garden beds in the car park. We have just recently had it all replanted as part of the Capital Works Project, and it needs time to grow and flourish! Please also do not place rubbish there. Help us keep our school clean and tidy.

Please do not hesitate if you have any questions or concerns.

Stay safe and be kind to each other.
