Opera House Performance

Boambee Public School was proudly represented by our school choir recently at the Festival of Choral Music. Last year, these students successfully auditioned to be part of this large ensemble of singers from public schools all over our state. They travelled to Sydney and performed in the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House. It was a thrill for them to sing in such a world-renowned venue, often with orchestras and concert bands from our state high schools to accompany them. Whilst it was a great privilege to be part of this massed choir, the students worked extremely hard to learn all of the repertoire, and teachers from other schools commented on how well behaved our Boambee students were during the long rehearsal and evening performance. Parents were amazed by the high quality of all of the performers, and were grateful that this opportunity was given to their children. We hope to be able to take our school choir with some new members next year to again be part of the Festival of Choral Music.
