Principal's Message

Home Learners

Congratulations to these Stage 1 Learners. These students have been recognised for their efforts to extend their learning at home. The focus has been mathematics, and these clever young people have been doing extra work at home and sharing it with their teachers. This is a life changing choice and every one of these students will enhance their academic progress as a result. They have been rewarded with a $20 book voucher from the Book Warehouse.

Interviews

If you did not get a chance to meet with your child's teacher as part of our interview process please make contact with them via Seesaw to book another meeting time. The more informed you are of your child's learning goals the more you will be able to help them at home.

Sawtell RSL - Thank you !

Last week we were notified by the Sawtell RSL that we had been successful in a grant application. They have approved a $4000 grant to Boambee Public School to support our Positive Behavior for Learning Program (PBL) and Smiling Minds Programs. These 2 programs create the positive learning environment that is so strongly present within Boambee Public School.

Here is a snapshot of our wellbeing data from our most recent Tell Them From Me Surveys. The results from more than 150 students show improvement in every measure, every year, since 2019 - even through the COVID restrictions.

The graph also shows our results compared to statistically similar schools (orange line) and the rest of the state (purple line).

With Rebel Sport discontinuing their Community Givebacks Program, we are so grateful to the Sawtell RSL for their ongoing support of education in our community.

Rotary Club of Sawtell - Thank You!

The Rotary Club of Sawtell have once again provided a significant donation to education at Boambee Public School with a $500 donation of readers for our K-2 Literacy Program. The Rotary Club fundraise and support Boambee Public School every year. We are truly blessed to have these wonderful community members investing in our learning.

Gosling Electrical - Thank You!

A big thanks to Brad Gosling at Gosling Electrical for donating his time on a Sunday to help us do some landscaping for our new Wellbeing Garden. Michelle McGinty, one of our staff members, is leading the work as part of the Wellbeing Club. Our students are painting tables, walls and picket fences to create a space where students can engage in some mindful activities during lunch time and recess.

Boambee Public School - Lunch Time Tennis Program

Registrations for the Term 3 program will close Wednesday, August 30. Click on the link below to get you child registered.

We are excited to offer lunch time tennis coaching for Boambee Public School students. The first stage of this program will be a 3 week program beginning on September 4. The program will be delivered by Tony Polack, who is the only High Performance Coach with Tennis Australia on the North Coast.

Our Tennis coaching program will continue every term whilst we have interested families. As children progress, squads will be available and there will be opportunities to participate in tournaments. Lessons will be delivered on our own tennis court during lunch and groups will be kept small to maximise skill development.  Registrations are open to all students from K-6 of any ability.
