Australian Drumline Competition
On Saturday 12 August, a significant milestone was achieved as our Snr Drumline made its debut at the Australian Drumline Competition.
The performance of our Snr Drumline was nothing short of captivating, and their efforts were not only appreciated by the audience, but also recognised through a series of prestigious awards.
We commend the outstanding performances of Josephine Colacino, Ella Bowler, and Zena Colacino, who competed in the solo sections. In addition, our entire Snr Drumline (consisting of Josephine, Ella, Zena, Kaitlin, Toby and Saxon), competed at an exceptional level against Drumline ensembles from other schools across Australia in Division B.
The results of the Snr Drumline’s efforts were recognised by earning several accolades including:
- Overall Champion Drumline (Division B)
- Best Test Piece (Division B)
- Best Own Choice Piece (Division B)
- Honourable Mention for Best Snare Section (Overall Division A and Division B)
- Honourable Mention for Best Tenor Section (Overall Division A and Division B)
- Josephine: Gold (Open Snare Solo)
- Ella: Silver (Open Snare Solo)
- Zena: Bronze (Open Tenor Solo)
We extend gratitude to our Drumline Director, Mr Kevin Kiely, for the pivotal role he played in preparing our Snr Drumline to participate in the competition. His expert guidance and dedication was instrumental in elevating our Snr Drumline to such impressive heights.
Primary Choir Tour and Invite to Pop-up Performance
Our Primary choir is looking forward to visiting several Aged Care Facilities and Retirement Villages on Monday 4 September. As part of our tour, the choir will do a Pop-Up performance for the public at 12pm in Hopwood Gardens, Echuca - families and friends are invited to come along!
Springtime Concert – Save the Date!
Join us for a fabulous evening of music at our Springtime Concert, showcasing an impressive variety of both solo and ensemble musical pieces performed by our Secondary students. These dedicated students earned their spots through a competitive audition process, highlighting the outstanding talent within our school. We extend an invitation to families and friends to join us and share in the joy of what will be a thrilling musical experience!
