Parent Trivia Night - limited tickets remaining
Once again, we had a huge response to the release of Trivia Night Tickets. A limited number of tickets are still available - these can be purchased through Qkr, and all the details you need are below.
This year, delicious fresh grazing boxes by Molly Malones in Bentleigh, are also available for pre-order. $5 from the purchase price of each box will be donated to the school.
Boxes cater for 4 - 5 guests, and each box includes:
- 3 gourmet cheeses
- 2 cured meats
- A selection of crackers
- Fresh & dried fruits
- Sundried tomato & herb dip
- Hummus
- Smoked salmon pate
- Pickled vegetables & olives
Vegetarian and gluten free platters are also available.
If you have already bought a ticket, remember to order your gourmet grazing box by Tuesday, 22nd August. And if you have a preference for table allocation, please add yourself to a table in SignUp or email us.
When: Saturday 26th August 2023
Time: 7pm for a 7:30pm start; 11:30pm finish
Where: Dutch Club Abel Tasman, 60 Rosstown Road, Carnegie
Dress/Theme: Heroes & Villains
Cost: Tickets $30 each
Drinks: Drinks at bar prices
Food: BYO nibbles/food to share with your table. Gourmet grazing boxes also available for pre-order through Qkr.
Tables: 8 to 10 people; After you have bought your ticket, please add your name to a table at bit.ly/triviatables (or we can find you a great one!)
What else:
* Don't worry if you don't have a table group organised. We will add you to one, with other parents in your child's year level if possible, and you will end the night with some new friends!
* There will be a photobooth available (included in ticket price) with lots of great props and an awesome backdrop, to capture fun memories of the night.
* DJ and dancing following the trivia!

* Cancellation Policy – if you are no longer able to attend, refunds are possible with a credit back into your Qkr account that can be applied to future PFA purchases. Refunds are available up to midnight 25th August 2023.

Bromley’s Bread Fundraiser
Local artisan baker, Bromley's Bread, have a special and delicious offer for CPS families!
4 sourdough bread varieties are available to order in Qkr now - White, Grain, Olive and Fruit. Pricing is discounted on RRP, and Bromleys are donating between $1 - $3 per loaf to the school.
Orders close Monday 21st August. Loaves will be distributed in the afternoon of Thursday 24th August - details to follow via Compass.
Remember to order for your family, friends and neighbours!
Fathers and Special Friends BBQ - can you help?
You will have seen the exciting news earlier in the newsletter that we will once again be hosting a BBQ for children to enjoy with their fathers, grandfathers and father figures, on Friday 1 September (following the open classroom afternoon).

Some more help needed
We also need parent helpers for a few other events in term 3, including PFA Popcorn Fridays, Bread fundraiser, Sushi Day and the Fathers Day and Gifts of Appreciation wrapping and stall.
Helping out is a great way to bring fun events to life for the students, connect with other parents, and to get a glimpse into primary school life!
Please have a look at the roster on SignUp, and add your name to one of the spots if you can.
Another way in which we are seeking support is through the donation of prizes for the upcoming Trivia Night. If you know of a business that may be able to contribute some merchandise or a voucher towards a hamper for the winning table, and other prizes on the night, please email us at pfa@carnegieps.vic.edu.au.

PFA Popcorn Days
Popcorn will be on sale to students:
- in Grades Prep - 2 on Fridays 18th August and 1st September
- in Grades 3 - 6 on Friday 25th August
Popcorn is $1 a bag. Ingredients are gluten and dairy free.
