Grade 3/4 Futsal

Last Friday the year 3/4s had 4 teams attend the Futsal Championships. Each team gave their best efforts showing great teamwork, skills and excitement throughout the day. Well done to the boys team Toorak Stars and the girls team Toorak Angels for finishing 3rd overall after winning the playoff for 3rd place in what were both exciting games to watch.

Grade 4 Incursion

The Year 4's had their Forces and Heat transfer incursion run by Supreme Incursions, last Thursday. This was a hands-on experience to further consolidate students' knowledge about force, motion and heat concepts, covered in our inquiry lessons. In addition, students were applying the scientific method while investigating different concepts and learning to work scientifically. Students thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity with their favourite experiments being the human electrical circuit and rocket launching.

SWPBS Snapshot

At Toorak Primary our School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) Behaviour Matrix provides positively stated expected behaviours which help to support and build a positive learning climate and school culture. Our Term 3 learning focus has been teaching Responsibility. In classrooms, students have been practising taught behavioural and social skills which are expected across various areas of our school community. As teachers, we acknowledge students by providing verbal and tangible praise when we notice them making positive choices which reflect the matrix.
