Learning Conversations

Hopefully you received a note last week regarding next week's Learning Conversations (Monday 4th September - Thursday 7th September). This is an opportunity for you to work in partnership with the class teacher/s and discuss your child’s learning. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to engage in your child’s academic, social and emotional development.

We ask that the discussion time be kept to 15 minutes so that others are not kept waiting. If you feel this is not long enough, please make another appointment for a mutually convenient time.

If you did not receive a note, or the available times are not suitable, please contact your child's teacher to make alternate arrangements.

It's School Photo Day!

Tuesday 12th September (week 8)

MSP Photography are on their way to capture your child's school memories forever. Last week, your child should have brought an envelope home with relevant information and payment details.

Other additional points to remember:

  • Credit card payments can be made online. Use the Shootkey on your envelope to do so.
  • Paying by cash, cheque or money order? Please enclose the correct amount of money, as no change is given.
  • You can pay for all children with one envelope, however make sure each child has their own envelope on the day. Please don't seal the envelopes inside each other.
  • Family envelopes are available at the front office upon request.

For more information, please chat with me or visit the MSP website - www.msp.com.au

More fun from National Science Week!

Check out more photos from Science Week below.

Activities included:

  • Straw Rockets - A challenge who could construct a straw rocket that can travel the longest distance whilst changing variables, such as launch angle, fins and force.
  • Binary Bracelets - Students matched coded their names using binary code, and matched the numbers with colours which gave them the colourful pattern of their bracelet.
  • Spaghetti Tower Challenge - STEM activity that challenged students to engineer the tallest tower using only spaghetti and masking tape. The tower was also required to support the weight of a marshmallow on top!
  • Teddy-Bear Bridge Making - A STEM group challenge - students were required to make a bridge out of 4 cups and 4 pop sticks to hold 20 teddys
