The Next Fortnight of Learning

Literacy

In Literacy we will be focussing on Non-fiction Language features such as Subheadings, bold words and brackets.
In Reading we will be hunting for these features and determining how they help the reader.
In Writing we will be beginning to design the layout of our non-fiction prehistoric text pages and starting to construct paragraphs using simple and compound sentences. In Phonics we will be looking at the 'ee' sound.

Maths

In Numeracy we will be continuing our work with our open-ended learning tasks where students have the opportunity to explore and share their thinking with their peers.
We will be focussing on Multiplicative Thinking and the connections to repeated addition while also looking at Mapping.

Inquiry

We are continuing to explore Earth's Resources and the ways in which we can conserve energy, water and soil.

Wellbeing

Our next topic of learning for 'Resilience Rights & Respectful Relationships' is Gender and Identity where we are continuing to explore the ways in which we are all unique and how we all belong as part of a community.
