The Next Fortnight of Learning

Literacy

  • In Literacy we will be focussing on Non-fiction Language features such as Subheadings, bold words and brackets.
  • In Reading we will be hunting for these features and determining how they help the reader.
  • In Writing we will be beginning to design the layout of our non-fiction prehistoric text pages and starting to construct paragraphs using simple and compound sentences. In Phonics we will be looking at the 'ee' sound.

Maths

  • In Numeracy we will be continuing our work with our open-ended learning tasks where students have the opportunity to explore and share their thinking with their peers.
  • We will be focussing on Multiplicative Thinking and the connections to repeated addition while also looking at Mapping.

Inquiry

  • We are continuing to explore Earth's Resources and the ways in which we can conserve energy, water and soil.

Wellbeing

Our next topic of learning for 'Resilience Rights & Respectful Relationships' is Gender and Identity where we are continuing to explore the ways in which we are all unique and how we all belong as part of a community.

Thanks for reading...until next time!
