Hello families!
We have had an absolutely amazing end to term, our class is settled, happy and confident in their abilities after a term of big learning!
We have been further developing our letter sounds, blending sounds together and
practising our reading twice a day! The children have been working in their reading groups beautifully and showing kindness and respect to their peers.
In Numeracy this term, we have been focusing on strategies for addition, counting on and friends of ten! We have been enjoying hands on activities, games that require lots of team work and having fun as a class!
In Inquiry, we have been enjoying learning about the Earth and its resources, the seasons and how they impact us looking after ourselves! The children have had so much fun touching on science concepts that are fun to explore, for instance how clouds are made and experimenting together!
Our class has rightfully won our reward to watch a movie tomorrow, I am so beyond proud of every single person in our room for displaying our GROWTH values all term, accepting
me as part of their class and coming to school to try their hardest every day! We are so excited to finish the year off together and have lots more fun!
From myself, Shannon and Mrs. Ing, we hope you all have a beautiful, safe and fun holiday with your loved ones and we will see you back on Monday the 2nd of October.
It's the end of Term 3 already! This Term has flown by and before we know it we'll be starting Term 4.
The last 3 weeks have been very busy. Students have completed their projects on space or the ocean. We were blown away by the
effort all the students put into them and they should be very proud
of themselves. Students also presented their
projects to the class which took lots of courage and we were super impressed by their confidence.
The kids all had fun during Book Week and it was great to see so many dressed up as their favourite book characters. We had loads of kids, dads, grandads and special friends join us for our Father's Day breakfast. We all enjoyed yummy bacon and egg rolls and a hot
drink. The students watched OPS Has Talent - the inaugural event which we are sure will become a highlight of the year in the future! We also
watched the final rehearsal for our State School spectacular performers - they were amazing!
We finished the Term this week with RUOK?, our Footy Colours Day and an excursion to MoPA! Whew - we fitted in a lot in 3 weeks!
We would like to wish all of our families a very happy, safe and relaxing break and we look forward to seeing everyone in Term 4.
