Spring Soiree

The Spring Soiree, for which Secondary large ensembles have been busily preparing during Music Camp and rehearsals this term, will be held on the evening of Friday 1 September at 6:30pm in the St Louis Sports Centre. This concert will feature performances by Symphony Orchestra, Concert Band, Wind Band, Chamber Orchestra, Senior Guitar Ensemble, Swing Band, Treble Choir and Chamber Choir, as well as a special presentation to Year 12 Musicians in their final ensembles concert at John XXIII College.

 

Tickets for the evening are free, but bookings are essential via the following LINK. Programs for the concert will be available at the door, for a suggested gold coin donation.

 

All students will be commencing rehearsals and sound checks from 3:00pm on the day of the concert. Students will have access to supervised backstage and changing facilities when not in sound checks and will be provided a pizza dinner before the performance. Please advise the Music Office with the details of any dietary requirements.

 

Please note the following details of the concert:

  • Doors Open: 6:15pm. Refreshments for audience members and pre-show entertainment from the Year 8/9 Rock Band will commence at 5:45pm.
  • Concert Start: 6:30pm
  • Concert Finish: Approximately 8pm

Performance Attire: Music Performance Uniform, black socks and College shoes, hair and makeup must adhere to College policy.
