Year 5 Camp

Year 5 Camp

From October 29th – October 31st, 69 of our Year 5 students attended school camp at Phillip Island Adventure Resort. They participated in various camp-based activities; Flying Fox, Giant Swing, Canoeing, Circotron, Camp Cooking, Raft Building, Team Rescue, and Archery. They also participated in various teacher-led activities too: A Beach Walk, a Disco Night, a Movie Night, and an optional Walking Club around the camp ground.

Some of the abovementioned activities were quite scary, but it was a pleasure to watch the students give them a go. They looked after one another and looked out for one another. They showed perseverance and resilience, and they encouraged one another positively. Bedtime was mostly a breeze – The students were tired from being busy all day long, they went to sleep pretty quickly both nights (much to the teachers’ delight)!

Meal times went well too! Because we packed so much into each day, we were burning lots of energy and needed to recharge. Many students went back for second and third servings!

The students were well behaved and represented Greenvale Primary School with pride. They demonstrated our school values and received commendations from the staff at the camp about their conduct at camp. We are extremely proud of them!
