Lunchtime Activities
Each term, our Student Leaders and Staff facilitate Lunchtime Activities. Our Student Leaders survey classrooms to see what activities students would like to have offered during the week.
Lunchtime Activities provide the opportunity for students to take some time out of the yard and join in with an activity that is more tailored to their interests. There are active options such as Gym Games as well as quieter options such as the Library, Art Club or Minecraft Club.
Each day, Student Leaders display our new Lunchtime Activities flags to let students know that the Lunchtime Activities are about to begin.
Lunchtime Activities have given our leaders many opportunities throughout the year to continue to develop their leadership skills, work collaboratively with their peers, plan and deliver activities and enjoy spending time with a range of children from various cohorts.
We also recently held a Staff vs Students volleyball tournament in the gym during lunch. Two students per classroom from Year 3-6 were selected to play in 1 of 2 student teams, with the teachers also managing to field two teams. The atmosphere in the gym was buzzing, with all students encouraged to view the spectacle!
The final results from the Grand Final, saw the Staff team taking home the winners trophy, but it was no easy feat against the Student team, who showed incredible determination and teamwork.
