Foundation Classrooms

In Foundation, we have been learning about how to care for the spaces in our community. We were lucky to have a visit from Jess from the library, who explained how she looks after the library and shared some great ideas for how we can help care for it too.

In Spanish, students are learning to write narrative stories. They’ve been practising new vocabulary for characters and places and exploring how to describe them in detail.

In English, each class has worked together to write a Choose Your Own Adventure story, and every student has created and illustrated their own copy, with plenty of creativity and imagination!

Maths has been especially exciting with Tier 2 Maths this term. Students have shown great responsibility moving into new maths groups and have been learning about counting, number patterns, and place value.

As the year draws to a close, we’re getting ready for Grade 1 and looking forward to beginning our transition activities. It’s been a wonderful term of growth and learning in Foundation!
