Years F & 1

This week we have been focusing on Thank You letters. We read a story called ‘Ten Thank You Letters’ and students thought about who they would like to thank and why. It was amazing to see that students didn’t need any prompts or ideas because as soon as I mentioned it they were all able to tell me who they wanted to thank and why. It was great being able to read all the letters and see the wonderful things students were thankful for. They had the chance to write two different letters to different people and some were asking if we could do another, which is amazing. Please enjoy reading some of the kind things students had to say.

This week in maths we have continued working on halves in a shape. This time it was a bit of an unusual shape. The students did a great job thinking about where they thought half would be so that it mirrored on both sides. All these half-shapes look great up on the wall.
