Celebrating Learning

This week in play-based learning, Prep A have been building and creating in the P/1/2 garden using sticks and tools from the farm. We have been discussing what safe stick play looks and feels like and revisiting this in different ways throughout our play. 

Students are building social emotional learning through stories, collaborative play, establishing classroom norms and expectations, and Respectful Relationships lessons.

We have begun our phonics journey, beginning with the letter/sound M through story and making connections to our surroundings. Students are enjoying responding to stories through drama, drawing, and conversations.

Students continue to explore numbers to 10 and beyond. This includes, subitising, reading number stories, and exploring different ways to represent numbers.
