Gardening
Gardening has been off to a great start this year.
Students have been engaging in a range of activities such as watering, investigating insects, seed saving, and preparing garden beds in anticipation of autumn plantings.
We have been munching on Summer crops such as cucumbers, tomatoes and beans.
We have been discussing the role of compost and how to ensure it stays healthy by adding the right balance of nitrogen (food scraps) carbon (dried leaves) and oxygen (turning)
Students shared some fun facts about worms:
"Did you know that worms have 5 hearts?"
A reminder we have a working bee Saturday 16th March and drop in garden parties Fridays 2:30 -3:30pm.
