Principal's News

Dear Families,

I can hardly believe that this is the last newsletter of the year and that the 2023 school year has finished. I couldn’t be more proud of our school community and the relationships that have been fostered throughout the year. Since the last newsletter, there have been many school and community-based events such as; Casual Clothes Day, Prep Cake Stall, P&F Picnic and Carols, Year 3 and 4 camp to Sunnystones, Graduation, Prep Cake Stall, Moving-up Day and the celebration and reflection of student achievement in the Semester 2 reports.

At St Joseph’s we strive to work with parents and families to nurture and foster not only an interest in academics but also other interests and passions whether that be musical, theatrical, sporting or serving the community on that note congratulations to Callum who competed in the Victorian Aquathlon Championships in Shepparton in an age group above his own and came second meaning he was selected to compete in the Nationals next year in WA.

Well done to the Prep families who’s baking was not only first class but also raised $821.50 for the school, I was lucky enough to sample a few of the treats myself.

The end of a school year always brings change and I would like to take this opportunity to farewell the Year 6 students who are leaving us this year. I know that your education at St Joseph’s will stand you in good stead for your journey through secondary school and later life and I hope you always remember your time here with fondness.

To the departing teachers and families, I thank you for your contributions throughout your time here and I wish you all the best for the future.

Michelle is looking forward to coming back at the start of next year, please look out for her welcome to 2024 communication at the start of next year.

Thank you and Merry Christmas.

Martin Earl

(Acting Principal)
