Eastern Region Cricket Championships
On Friday the 10th of November our school cricket team competed in the Eastern Region finals. The day was set out with two pools of 4 with each team playing everyone in their pool. We lost our first game to Mount View but then fought back against Montrose and Doncaster Gardens. We finished second in our pool and qualified for the semifinals.
In the semifinal we played St Simon's and won with 4 balls to go which is extremely close. In the end we lost the Region final to Mount View but it was an outstanding achievement. The sportsmanship was amazing and overall, it was a great day out playing cricket with friends.

Digi Tech - Coding!
This term the Year 3 - 6 students have been working on different coding projects.
The 3-5s have been using the platform Code.org and the 6s Scratch. They have enjoyed working at their own pace, sometimes with others (Pair Programming) and then working independently.
It was a great opportunity for students to demonstrate their creativity and coding knowledge at the same time. We really do have some talented students.
Below are some links to projects by some of our Year 5 students which you can check out. They had to write a program that asked for input from the user and then used this input in their app.
If you would like to see your son/daughter's work, please ask them to log in to Code.org or Scratch. If you have any difficulties with this, please email julie.hall2@education.vic.gov.au
Vermont Secondary College Performance
On Friday 10th November, the Vermont Secondary College band came to perform for some of our students. There were a number of our past students in the band. Hopefully this performance might encourage some of our Yr6 students who will be heading off to Vermont Secondary College to join the band next year.
What a Knight!
Thank-you to our school community supporting the school production this year. The students really enjoyed being involved. The School Production occurs every 2 years, so we will be back, better than ever in 2025.
