What's happening?

Thank You & Good Luck

Today at assembly we farewelled 4 staff members.

Jason Saxby

Jason joined us during term 3 as Deputy Principal and fitted straight in. We have really valued his knowledge and experience and have learnt from him. Often Jason could be found outside playing handball at break times with the students or in a class sharing a story. We thank him for his work with us and wish him all the best with whatever next year brings.

Renee Triantafilakis

Renee has been the teacher in V5 with the Receptions/Year 1s this year and we have really enjoyed having her at Para Vista PS. She has brought lots of early knowledge to our team and the students really enjoyed the interesting investigations that they participated in each morning. Renee is taking maternity leave in 2024 and will welcome her new baby early in the year. We thank her for her hard work at Para Vista and look forward to meeting the new addition to her family.

Michelle Blight

Michelle joined our preschool team this year and brought with her a wealth of knowledge and experience working in the preschool space. The children have especially enjoyed her love of music and the new songs they have learnt at preschool. We have appreciated her flexibility and adaptable nature and hope she enjoys her new role in 2024. Good luck Michelle.

Ann-Marie Tillett

Ann-Marie started at Para Vista Primary School in 2008 teaching in the school in the Early Years classes. Students loved being in her class, with the learning being mostly hands on and lots of fun. She then moved into the preschool which is where she has been since then.

Ann-Marie has always loved seeing her preschool children grow as they work their way through the school and has always loved attending graduation, seeing them all the way to high school.

In the preschool, Ann-Marie was instrumental in setting up the indoor and outdoor spaces which engaged children and allowed them to learn in a way that suited them as individuals. The areas always showed a bit of her own flair and style with the preschool being such an inviting space for children and their families.

At the end of last year, Ann-Marie took on a fabulous opportunity at Woodville Gardens B-6 school where she was able to develop their preschool environment into something just as exciting as the one she worked so hard on here. She enjoyed it so much that she decided to stay.

Ann-Marie, we thank you for everything you have done. Our preschool has an amazing reputation in the community and we know that is due to all of the work you have put in, along with your passion and enthusiasm for educating our youngest students through play experiences. We wish you well at Woodville Gardens and know that the children there will love having you with them as much as all of our children have here. Thank you for everything.

Volunteer Award - Congratulations Leanne Rehill

Leanne has been part of our school community for about 12 years since her daughter began at Para Vista PS. She has seen 3 children now graduate and has volunteered in so many areas during this time. Leanne has spent time helping students, assisting with committees and has been heavily involved in fundraising opportunities over the years. She has coordinated and helped with sausage sizzles and Bunnings BBQs and was instrumental in gaining a grant with the Fund My Neighbourhood Project in 2018 which allowed the school to develop the nature play area. Leanne has also volunteered in and managed the canteen before returning this year to Governing Council as Chairperson.

We thank Leanne wholeheartedly for the hours she has spent helping make Para Vista PS a special place for our students and wish her and her family all the best as they move on from our school. Thank you so much for your hours of volunteering and congratulations.
