Senior Co-Curricular Sports

Term 4 Information: 

Well done to all our wonderful sportswomen on a great season of sport! While there are no finals in Term 4, we want to recognise our tennis team who concluded the season on top of the ladder following a very successful term of sport: 

  • Middle 1 Tennis coached by Summa Dawson – Harper, Ruby, Zoe, Tilda and Anita.

Term 1 2024 Dates and Information:

Sports trainings and games will commence in Term 1, Week 3. Those students who have nominated to play a Term 1 sport will receive an email in Week 2 with their team and coaches details.

Well done to Lucy Diestel-Fedderson who won a bronze medal in the 4 x 100m relay at the State Relay Championships yesterday.

Term 1 Sports Nominations

Term 1 Sports Nominations are now open for Loreto Junior School students who are moving into Years 2-6.

 

Sports available in Term 1 (the year levels refer to student's 2024 year):

• Aerobics (Years 5-6)

• Athletics (Years 3-6)

• Basketball (Years 3-6)

• Cricket (Years 2-6)

• Cross Country (Years 3-6)

• Volleyball (Years 4-6)

 

Our Summer Tennis and Summer Netball teams are continuing on from Term 4. Students do not need to re-register for these sports.

 

Registrations will remain open until Monday January 22nd 2024.

 

Registering for a sport

Online registrations are open via Loreto Connect / Clipboard.

  

You can complete a sport selection by following the steps below:

• Go into Loreto Connect

• Click on Sport – Junior School Sport

• Click on the Nomination Forms tile

• Click on the link on the right-hand side: Co-curricular Sport Selections Years R-6

 

The options should then appear and you will be able to register.

 

Troubleshooting

Some users have encountered technical problems with the registration process:

• If a calendar appears – click on Activity Selection to the left of the calendar

• Some people are getting a pop up asking them to sign in. If this occurs, you need to login with your Firstname.Surname@Loreto.sa.edu.au email address

• If you still cannot login you will need to contact IT - helpdesk@loreto.sa.edu.au

West Lakes Regatta: Rowing Achievements

Congratulations to our Rowers for some amazing achievements at the West Lakes Regatta last weekend:

  • SGY8/9 (Emily Baldock, Maeve Falahey, Emily Turner, Izzy Ingham, cox: Annie Redwood): 1st place in the state.
  • SGY8/9 (Liran Ma, Eadie Van Der Sommen, Georgina Chumak, Avreen Gill, cox: Sophia Field): 5th in the B final.
  • Women Small Boat Combined (Emily Laing): 3rd place.
  • Women Small Boat Combined (Fearne Rosenbauer, Eliza Hogg): 2nd place.
  • Under 19 Women's double scull (Fearne Rosenbauer, Eliza Hogg): 5th place.
  • Schoolgirl 4+ (Giuliana Blefari, Eliza Hogg, Fearne Rosenbauer, Emily Laing, cox: Emily Dagas): 1st place.
  • Schoolgirl 4+ (Imogen Smith, Amber Hallett, Ale Roman, Alice Shanahan, cox: Lucy Cornish): 2nd place.
  • Under 17 women's quad scull (Alice Hoskins, Emily Turner, Ava Dennis, Alice Shanahan, cox: Lucy Cornish): 3rd place.

Student Achievements

Congratulations to Ivy Bainger (Year 2) who was awarded 1st place in the Sub Junior Championship 8 Years Division in the State Calisthenics Solo Competition. Well done Ivy!
