Faith & Mission Report

Danny Franc

As the term quickly comes to an end, Monivae has had the following take place in the area of Faith and Mission over the last few weeks.

Wednesday November 3rd saw Monivae launch its annual St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal. Each year we put unwrapped presents under a Christmas tree, (which can be found in the library), we then donate these gifts to St Vincent de Paul at the end of the Year.

These gifts remain unwrapped so St Vinnies can determine the appropriate people to gift them to.

We also will donate a cash amount to help those who need our assistance at Christmas.

On Friday November 10th we commemorated Remembrance Day in the west stadium. The 2024 school leaders, along with Mr Molan, ran a solemn ceremony recognising the occasion.

This week, our Year 7 students became the latest cohort to participate in a Reflection day, a part of their spiritual journey during their time at Monivae. The purpose of the day is to consolidate their understanding of their place in the MSC and Monivae communities.

On Friday evening, the 2023 Year 12 class will come together one last time for their Graduation Mass and Dinner. More on this next newsletter.

Coming up:

  • November 23rd – Year 8 Reflection Day.
  • Dec 1st – End of Year Liturgy

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be everywhere loved.
