Year One - Spotlight on Learning
Dear Families,
Can you believe we’re already in Week 8? The students have had a fun-filled and productive week. In STSS, they've been exploring musical instruments, even crafting their own using materials found at home!
The students also participated in the inspiring Walkathon alongside the Year 3s to raise funds for the Sisters of the Nativity St Gianna. We’re incredibly proud of their enthusiasm and dedication to giving their best in everything they do. A big thank you to everyone for the generous donations – all proceeds will support an orphanage in Nigeria.
Don’t forget: the whole school Christmas Carols is next Tuesday. Please ensure your child wears the assigned colors for the performance.

Next week we are learning...
Mathematics: In Mathematics we’ll be diving into the concepts of space and location, helping students better understand how to navigate and describe their environment.
English: In English, we’ll be focusing on the -oo sound, learning to recognise and use it in different words and contexts
Religious Education: In Religion this week, the students are learning about the season of Advent and the significance of the Advent wreath. The Students will also participate in a community liturgy at the church.
Auslan: In Auslan, students will be revising all the concepts they’ve learned throughout the year, reinforcing their skills and knowledge.
