Carols - Tuesday Night (3rd Dec)

Can it really be true that we are heading into December already? It seems like term 4 flies by more quickly each year.

Actually, for Catholics, this Sunday is the first day of Advent. Advent being the season of waiting for the birth of Jesus. This is why many carols that you hear during Advent, have lyrics that remind us of the coming of Jesus. And it is the reason why we are hosting a Carols Night on the 3rd December.

Advent Week 1 'Hope' is a central theme to the season of Advent and apparent throughout the next four weeks. Each week, we light one more candle of the Advent wreath. It is a foundation for Catholic's belief that Jesus is coming into our hearts and the world. This first week prepares us to be people of hope and believe that darkness will not prevail, but the light of the world will overcome it.

Yr5 & Yr 6 Thanksgiving & Leadership Mass

On Wednesday this coming week, the Year 5s and Year 6s will be celebrating Mass. The Bethlehem Community (Year 6) will be giving thanks for their primary school years. The Jericho Community (Year 5) will be blessed in their role of leadership for next year. Families are most welcome to come along to this special occasion.
