CONGRATULATIONS! 

We would like to acknowledge and congratulate Manjot Rana – our 2024 college dux!

We are very proud of all the Year 12 students and congratulate them on their incredible efforts this year. 

Today the top three scoring VCE students met with the principal team for a celebratory luncheon. Congratulations to Manjot Rana, Chiara Villani and Charli Guppy for your outstanding VCE results.

Last week our Year 11's finished for the year. But not before spending the day at Belcibo & Co for their 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟭𝟭 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗗𝗮𝘆. 

Guest Speaker Kate divided the students into groups to collaborate on tasks in teams discussing leadership qualities, future wishes and pet peeves. Together they worked on issues and solutions. The students completed some practical exercises together to show how they can work together using empathy to understand each other's challenges. The aim of the day was for students to leave with and commit to a project and have a plan as to how they can contribute to our school community to make Year 12 a kind, safe and inclusive year.

Kate spoke about how school culture is created, but it can change. She urged the students '𝘋𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸'𝘴 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳, 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺!'

At the Year 12 Retreat in February Jacqui Avard completed art therapy sessions with all the students and staff. From the beauty of nature, beautiful pieces of artwork were transformed onto gum leaves. The setting for the camp was a beautiful bush setting and Jacqui collected gum leaves from around the trees and students sat in a covered veranda overlooking the magnificent surrounds and painted one or two leaves.  

Designs were inspired by examples that were brought in by Jacqui, from the colours of sporting teams, from the flowers in the bush setting and from the student's creative imaginations. Each leaf is individually created and tells a different story.  

These leaves were then put into a commemorative frame and were hung in the Senior School to celebrate the Retreat of our inaugural Year 12 cohort.  Year 12 students Kahlia Rathbone and Izzy Ferrari who studied Creative Arts this year complied the final art piece. Visual Arts Learning Mentor Mark Almond added the writing to the piece before it was framed and put on display. 

The booklist for 2025 has now been emailed home to families of Yr 10, 11 and 12 students in 2025, along with a letter explaining the resources and how to order. You will also find these important documents on PAM as well as a link below. A reminder that all students in Yr 10, 11 and 12 in 2025 must provide their own textbooks and stationery. It is very important that students start the 2025 year with the learning materials they require, to ensure they are prepared for success.
