Reflection Friday 13 December, 2025
Third Sunday of Advent Year C December 15, 2025
The third Sunday of Advent symbolises Joy with the ‘Shepherd’s Candle’, the pink candle. We are filled with joy for the near arrival of Jesus on Christmas day and the joy the shepherds felt at the birth of Jesus.
At this time we reflect with joy on the year that has been and look towards the second coming of Christ with joy, we acknowledge the wonders of our Good God and all we have to be thankful for.
At St Anne’s College we are reminded of Jesus teachings, to love God and love others as yourself. We look at those around us and people in the wider world with love and without prejudice. We are reminded to see the face of God in all people, as we are each created in the image and likeness of our Good God. May we each day strive to serve others with love and compassion. This Christmas season may we animate God’s love with all we meet, our families, friends and strangers. May the peace and love be with you and your families this Christmas.

St Vincent de Paul Christmas Voucher Fundraising
Our fundraising this term is directed towards the Christmas Vinnies appeal. The Shepparton South St Vincent de Paul Conference assists many members of the local community facing challenging times financially. Our local St Vincent de Paul conference is requesting our help as they aid over 450 clients this Christmas.
Each year level and PG is asked to raise funds to purchase vouchers for families and individuals in need this Christmas. You can help by donating cash or vouchers for the provision of food from business like SPC or supermarkets (not cards that can be spent on alcohol). Any cash sent will be used by the school and Shepparton South St Vincent de Paul conference to purchase vouchers.

St Anne’s College community, past students, family and friends celebrated the Christmas season and our end of school year with our Whole School Mass celebration at Christ the King Church St Mel’s Parish today. At the end of Mass our Foundation students performed a nativity play to the delight and enjoyment of all present.
Principal Anthony Butts, on behalf of the St Anne’s College community thanked our priests, Fr Ruel and Fr Rene for their pastoral care, faith leadership and guidance over the past year. Anthony Butts also presented our leaving Parish Priest, Fr Rene Ramirez RCJ Bishop-elect for the Archdiocese of Melbourne, with a gift and expressed our appreciation and best wishes for the future as Auxiliary Bishop in Melbourne.
