The school Library is now closed for borrowing, but still open for Returns, Library classes and Library Club when students can dip into the “Sometimes boxes” from December 2. Until then most of the shelves are still open for browsing. There will be overdue notices sent home via email this week and next week, so please have a look at home and then contact me if the search is unsuccessful. I am aiming for a full stocktake, which should find all missing books, if they have made it back to the Library.
I have reminded students that reading fitness is a little like physical fitness and they need to keep practising through December and January. Students have suggested that places to find a book to read might include their local public library, a book shop or Opportunity shop, a street library or their own or a friend’s book shelf.
If students would like a challenge, click on the following link to access the Big Summer Read, open to all between the ages of 0 and 18 years.

I have received the Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge certificates, and they will be handed out over the next couple of weeks. Congratulations to all who completed this challenge.
