"News from the Nest"
Wow... what a year we had in the Lok Lok Eagles camp. It was such an amazing first year in our house and the passion that shone through was fantastic. We can't wait to keep building on this into next year and beyond. It's always going to be exciting to welcome some new Lok Lok members into the team with our new Foundies starting along with some new students in other grades.
The biggest highlight this year for us was definitely the inaugural House Athletics day! We didn't get the chocolates on the day but it was so much fun and the competitive spirit was so good to see!
We wish all of our departing Lok Lok members all the best in the future and hope you keep flying high!
Have a wonderful holidays and we will see you next year in the nest!

Celebrating Our Kanyul Graduates: Shunti and Aiden
As we wrap up Term 4, we take a moment to celebrate two incredible members of Kanyul House, Shunti and Aiden, who are graduating from Grade 6. Their love for Ceres Primary School and their experiences in Kanyul House are a testament to the unique and cherished environment we all share. Let's hear from them in their own words!
What has been your favourite memory from your time at Ceres?
Shunti: Having my buddy in Foundation!
Aiden: Definitely Canberra Camp! It was really fun.
What are you most looking forward to next year?
Shunti: Playing with new friends and learning at Matthew Flinders Girls School.
Aiden: Joining the sports academy at Grovedale Secondary College.
What will you miss most about Ceres?
Shunti: The iconic-ness (I think that's a word) of a small, hidden country school where the occasional lamb breaks in!
Aiden: The staff because they are always putting a smile on our faces and checking in with everyone!
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Shunti: Just be yourself.
Aiden: Never give up on your dreams and always be yourself. If you could pass on anything to the younger students, what would it be?
Shunti: Enjoy the years at Ceres and don't take them for granted, you'll miss it when you're finished.
Aiden: Don't try and make the days go faster, enjoy every second at our school.
Any final comments or shout-outs?
Shunti: Just some quick gratitude for Miss Petzke, she is always so supportive and full of joy!
Aiden: Always try your hardest and encourage others to do the same! Quick shout-out to our awesome parents because without them we wouldn't get to come to this great school.
We are so proud of Shunti and Aiden for all they've achieved and the wonderful role models they have been in Kanyul House. While we will miss them dearly, we know they are heading into exciting new chapters of their lives. Congratulations, graduates, and best of luck for the future!
As we celebrate Shunti and Aiden, we also want to acknowledge all of our Grade 6 graduates. Each of you has contributed something special to your house, your school and the broader Ceres community. We wish you all success and happiness as you move forward into the next exciting stage of your journey!

A reminder that students can wear their house iron on patches on their school polos. These can be ironed onto students' polos, underneath the Ceres logo. It's great to see some students already wearing theirs!
