Our past fortnight was one of the busiest for the year.
End of year excursions have been held by a couple of cohorts with more to come, 2025 School Captain speeches were presented with poise and confidence by our current Gr 5s, Grandparents and Special Friends Open Morning to make Christmas decorations was another great success, as was our Carols on the Deck night and our 2025 Class Transition session on Tuesday.
Being the end of Week 10 means this is our final newsletter for 2024. It’s been another eventful year at Ceres with fantastic growth made by our students in and out of the classroom and extensive upgrades in our yard.
Thank you to our amazing staff for your hard work, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to our students. Your care and dedication shine through every day. Enjoy a well earned break, and we look forward to an exciting 2025!
To our families, thank you for the support and involvement you have provided all year in your child's education.
A special farewell to our Year 6 students, particularly those who started with us as Foundies. We wish all of you every success in secondary school. For those students and families moving on to new schools and adventures, we hope you take fond memories of your time at Ceres with you also.
Finally, I would like to wish everyone a very safe and enjoyable Christmas break. Have a wonderful time with loved ones and cherish the time to connect and relax before 2025 begins.
I look forward to hearing all about everyone's holiday adventures when students return on Thursday, January 30th.
On Tuesday 3rd December, we held our last School Council meeting for the year and it was a nice way to sign off on 2024 and the achievements that were accomplished.
I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank our Ceres PS School Council for a very successful 2024. The dedication, enthusiasm, and initiative you have all shown has been quite inspiring. We are so fortunate to have a group of parents and staff determined to make Ceres PS the best school for our students. Thank you!
Nominations for the 2025 School Council will be released early 2025.
We are very pleased to announce that we have appointed a new Dance/Drama specialist teacher to join the Ceres PS community in 2025. We can't wait to introduce you to our new staff member early next year.
Staff have been busy assessing children and writing reports for the end of the year. These will be released to you this afternoon. Thank you to the teachers for the time and effort that has gone into writing these reports.
I hope that you will take the opportunity to sit down with your children and review their report together as there has been some wonderful growth academically and socially made by our students this year.
