Swimming Program 2024

Hola familias de Newlands,

Our swimming program is just around the corner, running from Monday, 25th November (Week 8) to Friday, 13th December (Week 10). 

Each class will participate in five 45-minute lessons at the Coburg Leisure Centre, where students will be grouped according to their swimming abilities. This program offers a wonderful opportunity for students to develop confidence, stay active, and build essential water safety skills.

• Location: Coburg Leisure Centre
• Number of Lessons: 5
• Lesson Duration: 45 minutes
• Dates: Monday, 25th November to Friday, 13th December
• Cost: $80 per student. This covers both swimming lessons and transportation. Payments can be made via SENTRAL by the payment deadline. Please note that permission must be given by Friday 22nd November (Week 7) and payment due date is on Friday 6th December (Week 9). For those interested in discussing a payment plan, please reach out to our office.
• Transportation: Students and teachers will travel to and from the venue by bus.
• What is needed? swimming clothes, goggles, a towel, and a separate bag for wet items. We recommend labelling all items to prevent loss.

The Coburg Leisure Centre provides non-gender toilets and changing rooms for students to use.

Please note that the swimming schedule varies by class. This was necessary to fit within our school calendar and the venue’s availability. For specific session times, please refer to the timetable below.
