Tuesday 10th December is the statewide orientation day for all students in Year 7.
Brinbeal Secondary College will be running a full day of activities for our 2025 Year 7 cohort. The day will begin at 9am, students should be dropped of at the Community Hub by 8:50am. Students should access the Community Hub via the Bethany Rd entrance. The carpark will be available for parents to use. Students should be collected from the same location at 2:50pm.
Students will need to wear their current sports uniform, including runners. They should bring snacks, lunch and a water bottle. It is strongly recommended that students bring a hat and apply sunscreen before school and throughout the day.
Noone onsite store at the College will be open on orientation day and is currently open: Monday 8:30am - 4:30pm, Wednesday 1:00pm - 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm and Saturday 9.00am - 1.00pm.

Parents may utilise their School Saving Bonus for the College uniform. Refer to details later in this newsletter.
Parents on eligible health care cards, who receive CSEF are able to access the Year 7 2025 CSEF pack.

Applications for the Year 7 Uniform Package are currently open and close at the end of Term 1, 2025. The application form can be found on the College website.
Cost to families:
Where State Schools’ Relief is unable to provide a uniform item directly that contains a logo (due to contractual agreements with uniform retailers) the student will receive a voucher for $85 that subsidises the cost of these items. The voucher can be redeemed at your school uniform shop, or independent uniform retailer. Please note: vouchers do have an expiry date and must be used before this date.
Year 7 students will begin the 2025 school year on Thursday 30th January. The day will begin with an extended mentor session where students will be allocated their lockers, provided with their timetable and be provided with the computer and Compass login details. After recess students will commence their regular classes.
It is important that students arrive on time, 8:50am for a 9am start, in full school uniform. They should bring their locks, computers and stationary (exercise books, visual diaries & pencil case) to allow them to participate in classes through the day. They can bring their textbooks and novels on subsequent days.
Being a Thursday, school will finish at 3:10pm.
Please note: parents are not allowed to enter the grounds before or after school. Any access to the College must be via Reception. Please arrange to meet your child outside one of our exit gates.
Brinbeal Secondary College will be holding engagement days across Monday 10th, Tuesday 11th February and Wednesday 12th February 2025. Students will visit Camp Sunnystones on one of these days. Groups will be determined at the start of next year. The day will provide our new Year 7 students with a chance to get to know each other and develop their teamwork and sense of belonging.
On this day students will participate in a variety of activities including "The Survival Game" and rafting. These activities will require students to work together, problem solve and demonstrate resilience. The cost of this day will be approximately $125. Further details and permission forms will be provided in January 2025.
