CURRICULUM FOCUS

We are learning to ask and answer questions

I can ask questions

I can use text structure to ask questions (facts, topics, diagrams)

I can explain the answer to my questions using evidence

VOCABULARY

Questions: start with a question word like who, where, why, when what or how, and they have a question mark at the end. A question needs an answer. We ask questions to help us understand the text.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Students read their books and stop at describing words. They question themselves why has the author used these describing words.

Students then read on to find evidence in the book if the character has similar traits.
