New way to login to MazCom

To continue to improve how Mazenod protects our environment and community data, we are moving to a new way to login to MazCom (accessed via a browser on your computer, or a browser on your mobile phone) and the MazCom App (the dedicated App from the Apple and Google Play store).

There will be no change to your username (currently a 4 or 5 digit number), this remains the same.  You will however have to add @mazenod.vic.edu.au to the end of your username.

This means if your username was 123456, your NEW username would be 123456@mazenod.vic.edu.au

Your password also remains unchanged.

This is not an email address, just your new username used to login to MazCom.

This change will be effective from Monday the 2nd of December 2024.

If you are using the MazCom App, please update or download the latest version of the app from the Apple or Google Play Store.

For any issues logging in, please contact the College reception, or email support@mazenod.vic.edu.au

Traffic around the College

After the tragic incident at a Melbourne Primary school it is possibly timely to remind all members of the school community the College's expectations in regard to traffic flow around Mazenod.

  • Please don't drive down Kernot Ave, unless you have a sick or injured son that you need to drop off or pick up - Our students consider the College to be one entire campus and forget that we are divided by a public road. They move from one side to the other engrossed in conversations and thoughts, the least amount of traffic on Kernot avenue keeps our young men safe.
  • Please don't park across driveways or block our neighbours from entering or leaving their property -  Apart from showing courtesy to those who share our streets, this enables the local residents to enter and leave their homes without taking risks, therefore protecting our students
  • Drop your sons off in the surrounding streets and allow them to walk the remaining distance to the College - This will ease congestion in the area around Mazenod and will allow your son to gain exercise and increase his step count.
  • Don't take risks when leaving the drop off zone or by completing a U-turn in front of oncoming traffic - Though this sounds obvious, there have been some extremely close near misses by drivers who have no consideration for others.

Considering the number of vehicles arriving and leaving the College, Mazenod has been lucky with only minor incidents over the past few years. Please follow these expectations and help keep our students, your sons, safe.

School Saving Bonus

Students in Catholic schools receiving the means-tested Camps, Sports, and Excursions Fund (CSEF) are eligible for the Victorian Government’s $400 School Saving Bonus (SSB). The payments will be made directly to schools in November 2024 for students who are expected to stay in 2025. Families do not need to apply separately, as the eligibility will be based on their 2024 CSEF status. The government will provide more information closer to the time. School will consult eligible families on how to manage the payments effectively.
