Whole School Writing Open Classrooms

Tuesday 21st October, 2:45–3:15 pm

We warmly invite all families and friends to join us for our Whole School Writing Open Classrooms. This special event is a chance to step into classrooms and see how students have explored writing through our current Unit of Inquiry, How We Express Ourselves—an inquiry into the many ways voice, perspectives, and creativity are expressed.

Across the school, students have been exploring big ideas such as:

  • Foundation: How stories have a purpose and use words and pictures to create meaning.
  • Juniors: How stories educate, entertain, and spark imagination across different cultures.
  • Middles: How authors and illustrators communicate ideas and how our reading choices evolve.
  • Seniors: How poetry reflects both culture and self, and how poets use style and structure to express their ideas.

This afternoon will be a wonderful opportunity for students to proudly share their learning, and for families to celebrate the creativity, imagination, and voice of our young writers.
