STEM in action

From bubbles to slime – our students have been busy exploring science in fun and hands-on ways, discovering how different materials behave, change and interact.

Prep – Bubble Investigators

Our Prep students have been fascinated by bubbles! They watched as bubbles floated, shimmered and popped – witnessing what happens when air is trapped inside a thin film of liquid. There were lots of “wow” moments as they explored what makes bubbles round and why they eventually burst.

Year 1 – Playdough Power

Our Year 1 students made playdough and experimented to see how materials can change shape when bent, twisted or squished. They loved reshaping their dough again and again.

Year 4 – Slimy science

Things got gooey in Year 4 as students made their own slime! They mixed ingredients, experimented with different measurements, and discovered how they can create something new  – not quite a solid, not quite a liquid! Science has never been so hands-on!
