Literacy

In Mr Stow’s group, our learners have been exploring the digraph “er” and discovering the special rule that goes along with it. They’ve done an amazing job listening for and spotting “er” words in their reading!

Over in Miss Deane’s group, the Preps have been busy learning about the letters ‘b’ and ‘j’, along with the sounds they make. We’ve had lots of fun practising our letter formation and spotting these sounds in words around the classroom!

Maths

In Maths, we’ve been learning all about time. Students have become calendar experts — confidently finding different dates and special days. When reading clocks, we’ve been working on o’clock, half past, quarter to, and quarter past. Everyone is doing such a fantastic job!

It’s been a bright and busy start to the term — we can’t wait to see all the amazing learning that’s still to come!
